One-line description
Saylo is building a private speech-practice necklace that helps kids work on therapist-selected sounds between sessions, without saving recordings.
Summary
Saylo is a pill-sized wearable, starting with a necklace, for children about 6 to 8 who are working with a speech-language pathologist (SLP) on a speech sound. The therapist picks the target sound and practice words. While the child talks, the pill listens for those words, scores each attempt as correct, error or unsure on the device, can give a gentle buzz, and keeps only daily counts that parents and therapists can see. It is designed never to save recordings.
Status
- Saylo is in development and hasn’t been tested with children yet. It supports speech therapy and doesn’t replace a speech-language pathologist (SLP).
- Specifications are design targets. Saylo is planned to start with the R sound.
- Speech therapists get early access from spring 2027, families join a founding-family beta in summer 2027, and Saylo is planned to launch in early 2028.
- Saylo doesn’t diagnose, screen for or treat speech conditions.
Please don’t describe Saylo as
- a treatment, cure or diagnosis tool;
- clinically proven or validated;
- available to buy.
